Join Karyn Lao, FABSCRAP Brooklyn's Winter Featured artist to learn the basics of pompom making! In the comfort of your own home, learn how to use everyday objects and materials to create your own pompom makers and learn the basics of pompom making! Wrap, trim, and tie your poms like a pro! Explore different colors, sizes, materials to embellish your projects with pompoms and tassels! Deepen your craft and take your soft sculptures to the next level. Previous pompom experience is not necessary—all levels are welcome! Materials: -Yarn -Scissors -Tapestry needles or crochet hook -Pen/pencil/marker -Cardboard -Fork -Small hardcover book (or planner, CD case, etc) -Container (to put your scraps in!) -Any other materials you’d like to experiment with (as yarn or pompom maker!) Please consider saving fabric from landfills for your projects! FABSCRAP's variety of curated scrap packs online is a great choice. You can also visit the FABSCRAP Warehouse in Brooklyn or Philadelphia in-person to shop for your own fabric scraps! Your suggested donation price allows us to provide a stipend to our Workshop Instructors for their time in sharing their skills with the FABSCRAP Community.
